251 | Landlords Struggle to Navigate AB3088
Signed into law on September 1, 2020 by Governor Newsom, AB3088 is widely known as the COVID 19 Tenant Relief Act of 2020. This law enacted many safety measures for tenants and requires landlords to comply with various requirements in order to evict or have the ability to pursue past due rents. But the new law also allowed for local jurisdictions to place stricter requirements. In this episode, I help alleviate the confusion with a summary of the law and a landlord’s duties to comply with the COVID-19 Tenant Relief Act of 2020.
